DA 2024 | The Outlines of the Villa

A meeting with Veronika Vlková and Jan Šrámek in the main living space of Villa Tugendhat as part of the accompanying programme to the exhibition of architectural illustrations. A pair of illustrators and teachers from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Brno will present a selection of their joint work focused on architecture against the backdrop of a discussion with the exhibition curator. Veronika Vlková's reading will be accompanied by a screening of Jan Šrámek's illustrations. At the end, an excerpt from Veronika Vlková's forthcoming book The Magic of Forgetfulness about Joseph Beuys will be presented.

DA 2024 | The Outlines of the Villa

The exhibition of architectural illustrations is based on direct knowledge of the unique free-flowing space of Villa Tugendhat, its setting in the natural context of the garden, the natural materials used, the architectural elements and design details, as well as the rich history of this iconic building. Six contemporary illustrators will present their own creative interpretation of the villa in its many layers in an attractive way. The featured illustrators are Jakub Bachorík, Jakub Plachý, Barbora Satranská, Vojtěch Šeda, Jan Šrámek and Veronika Vlková.
