The film, directed by Stephen Hopkins, is a biographical sports drama that introduces the audience to the story of the famous American runner and long jumper Jesse Owens (Stephan James). This African-American athlete became most famous for his participation in the 1936 Berlin Olympics, where he won four gold medals, becoming the most successful athlete of the games, greatly disrupting the pervasive Nazi propaganda. It is the period atmosphere and the many sub-stories and characters that help transport the viewer to the period immediately preceding World War II.
The screening also includes an improvised minibar on the technical floor of the building (payments are accepted in cash only). In case of bad weather, the screening will move to the interior of the villa.
