Friday 27 June 2014 at 6 p.m. the garden of the Villa Tugendhat will host the second public event with a music programme and open-air cinema (more info here).
From 6 p.m., live and recorded swing music and a lesson of basic swing steps will be prepared for the visitors. At 9:30 p.m., an open-air screening of the film classic „Roman Holiday“ will begin. The film in original version with subtitles will be screened via rear projection on the large format windows of the main living area of the villa and the audience will be able to watch it from a makeshift auditorium in the garden, or directly from the lawn. Own blankets are advisable.
The programme will also include refreshments in the technical basement of the building.
Roman Holiday (1953)
The romantic comedy Roman Holiday with Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck in the title roles was nominated for 10 Oscars. Audrey Hepburn won an Oscar for her role of a modern princess who defied her royal obligations and thanks to an American journalist got to know Rome as an ordinary young girl.
The film is screened in original version with subtitles.
Ticket price to the screening is 200 CZK.

Due to limited capacity only 150 tickets can be sold.Ticket reservation is only possible for groups of at least 10 members at info@tugendhat.eu or 515 511 015. Please send your reservations in the following format: name of event; number of participants; name and telephone number of the contact person.
Individuals must purchase their tickets in person at the box office during the opening hours at the Villa Tugendhat (Černopolní 45).
Capacity is limited to 150 spectators.
The event does not include a tour of the interior of the villa.
The organizer reserves the right to change the date of the event in case of inclement weather.
Visitors will be informed about a change of date at least 3 working days before the event.
