2nd Villa Night in Brno
On the last August Saturday evening, i.e. 27 August 2016, Villa Tugendhat along with other historic monuments will join the programme of the “Night of Castles and Châteaux” where visitors can combine sightseeing with unusual cultural experiences.
In Brno, the evening also marks the second so-called Villa Night, since people will be able to visit other villas in Brno in an unconventional way, i.e. beside Villa Tugendhat also Villa Stiassni and Villa Löw-Beer.
This year, Villa Tugendhat will offer a programme opened at 18.00 by a concert of a legendary Brno guitarist Milan Kašuba with his band, who will perform along with a guest, the equally famous singer Gabriela Kočí. Visitors will have the opportunity to hear famous evergreens or Latin-American tunes in the unique environment of the Villa Tugendhat garden.
Musical performances will be followed by special tours Villa Tugendhat at 19.30, while those interested in documentaries will also have the opportunity to see the films The Fate of Tugendhat and Villa Tugendhat – Monument Restoration 2010–2012 by Rudolf Chudoba on the technical floor.
